10 Campaign Progress Health & Social Care The initiative to consult with older people in day centres in conjunction with HealthWatch has been abandoned. Instead, a survey is being conducted of clients seeking advice to ascertain: -an indication of the effectiveness of social care for all age groups locally, -the state of knowledge of the effect of the Care Act 2014. The survey will be conducted over a four week period in May/June 2015 A volunteer has been recruited to transfer information to the HealthWatch database

Success with Mole Valley on 6 week limit for homeless families

14 Campaign Progress Adviser Engagement R&C News issued weekly for ASS to brief advisers Demonstrating R&C makes a difference – Work with Mole Valley District Council to eliminate placement of homeless families for longer than 6 week limit – From 27 affected families in last 12 months to nil – Thanks from Deputy CE of MVDC on behalf of vulnerable homeless families

15 Campaign Progress Advice Matters Individual ward briefings for all WBC councillors to demonstrate our value (June 15) Invite to local press to bureau to see our added value at first hand ( May/June 15) Extend our reports to other stakeholders e.g. SCC Local Committee

16 What we expect to give Trustees Confidence that R&C aim is being fulfilled Increased and diversified funding by: – Showing that CAW makes a positive contribution to local issues of social justice – Demonstrating to our funders and stakeholders that the value we add greatly exceeds our costs – Additional income from winning research projects Pride in our work and the value we add

17 What we expect of Trustees Input and commitment to our vision and strategy R&C to be on every Board agenda – Recognising the value of our work – Risk assessment Ensure R&C has equal priority with Advice Approving our development budget of £4k (reduced from £5k due to funds won by Letting with Confidence) Requiring effective internal communications and management processes

18 What we expect of advisers Accurate and comprehensive recording of outcomes and AIC’s Raising R&C issues by BEFs and in response to Local Calls for Evidence Participation in research projects Engage with Healthwatch Guidance on R&C priorities Gaining cl willingness to feature in media work and campaigns
