2. Our Project Is to draw a complete reference map of our school campus with its basic amenities.

3. What is required?  Inch tape  Thread  Compass  Dividers  Ruler  Colours/pencil/drawing board

4. How we drew the map…  We noted the position of the main buildings and playground etc and made a rough sketch of the school campus.  We measured all the external distances (roads, buildings, pond etc)with inch tape and thread.  We converted the Meters into centimeters(10m on ground=1cm on map).  We drew the map according to the measurements taken.  We pointed out the basic amenities.  We noted the direction of the compass in the school campus.

7. Why is it essential?  To give an idea of our school campus to people who are new in our community/town  To put up on our school website for people to refer to  To create awareness about various resources within the campus  To understand how maps are drawn
