Here is a suggestion on how to solve it: Divide both the sum and the difference by 2. You should have two quotients--44.739 and 7.889. Find the difference of the two quotients (which is 36.85). Then find the sum of the two quotients (which is 52.628). And there are the two numbers! 36.85 and 52.628. Pretty cool, right?
