5 Publicizing our Accomplishents Howevalley shares our STLP accomplishments through our school newsletters, our local newspaper, on HCETV, through our school and district website, and by participation in local, district, and regional showcases Highlighted our Hardin County showcase in the newspaper and on our school website.

8 Howevalley School News Broadcasts Goal 1 The STLP will develop activities which enhance the academic, social and emotional growth of the student. Goal 2 The STLP will provide leadership opportunities for all students. The Howevalley news team produces a live news broadcast for the school each morning. STLP members serving on the news crew arrive at school 15 minutes early to work on the daily broadcast. News is presented for our school as well as announcements of community activities. 9 Goal 3 Students will participate in multi-age collaboration by forming innovative learning partnerships. Goal 4 The STLP will form learning partnerships among students with different technology skills. The crew consists of students from all grade levels, with older students training younger students. Student directors work with students of varying technological skill levels to create, continually add to and enhance existing skills. 10 Goal 5 The STLP will develop activities which benefit communities The Howevalley news broadcasts provides a forum for communities events ranging from performances at the PAC, to community wide events such as blood drives, and Walk- For-Life and the Hardin County Technology Fair. Picture of news crew Here the crew prepares a special Veteran’s Day broadcast in conjunction with a school- wide program.

11 Goal 6 The STLP will develop instructional activities which integrates technology and benefits the school and supports KETS. Our students help set up and prepare lab each morning. They also help younger students with logging into the network and various other programs that require log in. They helped set up and maintain class sets of Ipads.

12 Projects that provide services to community. An example would be our can drives for the needy. Goal 5 The STLP will develop activities which benefit communities. Our STLP helped organize a canned food drive at our school.

13 Ways that You Promote your School STLP students are given the opportunity to show off our school by taking pictures of special events and activities at our school. The pictures and articles are often posted on the “Good News” page on the Hardin County School District web site. This gives the community and other students the opportunity to enjoy the happenings at Howevalley Elementary. Goal 2 The STLP will provide leadership opportunities for all students.
