1 Using Transitional Words Persuasive Writing Grade 4 – Language Arts Mr. Luvera

2 Transitional words are used to show how ideas are connected.  although  though  the reverse  but  unlike  while  however  yet  unless  in contrast  on the other hand Copy these words on a sheet of paper. When we are finished, put the list in your Writing Folders. Use it as you revise and edit your persuasive writing.

3 EXAMPLES  Unlike most of my classmates, I believe that students should be given more homework.  Families on vacation want to visit national parts, yet many of these parks are damaged by an overload of tourist traffic.
