WHAT IS A LUNAR ECLIPSE? A lunar eclipse is when the moon passes directly behind the earth into its shadow.

HOW DOES A LUNAR ECLIPSE OCCUR? The lunar eclipse can only happen when the moon, sun and earth are all a lined together at once. This has to happen the night before an full moon.
