8 GUIDELINE # 3 1.TOO MANY HIGH-ENERGY STRATEGIES? Biggest mistake – Tackling to many strategies Are you spreading your faculty too thin?  Looks ok on paper because you’re not really planning to implement  Should you omit one or more high-energy strategies? 2.TOO FEW HIGH-ENERGY STRATEGIES?  Einstein: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”  Are you expending enough energy to raise achievement?  Are you avoiding high-energy strategies to maintain harmony?  Do you need to add one or more high-impact strategies? 8

STUDENT GROUPS CROSSWALK Do your strategies appropriately address the student group(s) targeted in your achievement data targets? Will your strategies close achievement gaps?

14 Review the: STRATEGY TITLE & DESCRIPTION RUBRIC Does the “Title & Description” for each strategy meet all rubric items? Strategy title is short (3-6 words) and descriptive The description includes WHAT will occur. The description explains WHO will be involved. The description explains WHEN the strategy will occur A strategy chair has been identified A strategy chair’s email address has been listed The energy level has been identified The impact level has been identified The strategy addresses 1-3 forces The strategy address at lease one Area of Concern The strategy addresses at least one student group
