The Calhoun School Pledged to fulfill The Green Schools Climate Commitment Calhoun’s Green Roof Provides environmental benefits in the form of energy savings in heating and cooling insulation, reduced water run-off, and carbon emission reduction Plans are being made to install solar panels, both for educational and energy saving purposes Calhoun is also taking many other environmentally friendly actions involving recycling, growing their own food, using compact fluorescent light bulbs, and composting.
