8. HOW CAN WE TAKE OWNERSHIP? Once the Community Asset registration has been agreed, and once the tender for the management of the centre is released we will need to bid in a competitive process. We will need to show the council that we are the best people to run the centre and will be competing against private firms We need a recognised formal legal structure Robust business plan Realistic funding strategy Strong financial reporting systems Track record of delivery

REPRESENTATION ON THE COMMITTEE We suggest the committee should be made up of : 1 representative from HBL 2 representative from council officers 1 representative local elected councillor 1 representative from Hanwell Community Forum 1 representative of Hanwell Traders Association 1 representative of HCC tenants group 5 people with connection to Hanwell Community Centre
