6. worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

9. II. WORSHIP IN TRUTH

10. Genesis 22:5-“Abraham said to his young men, ‘Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go up there and worship.”

11. Amos 5:23-24- “Away with your hymns of praise! They are only noise to my ears. I will not listen to your music, no matter how

12. lovely it is. Instead, I want to see a mighty flood of justice, a river of righteous living that will never run dry.”

13. Isaiah 1:19 “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.”

14. III. WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH BRINGS GOD’S REVELATION OF HIMSELF

15. John 14:22-24 “Judas, not Iscariot, asked Him, ‘Lord how is that you will reveal Yourself-make Yourself real-to us and not to the world?’ Jesus

16. answered, ‘If a person really loves Me, he will keep my word (obey my teaching) and My father will love him, and We will come to him and make

17. Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him. Anyone who does not (really) love Me does not observe and obey My teaching.’”

18. Both men went to the same church, on the same Sunday morning. Each found what he was looking for.
