Key Club is a student-led organization whose goal is to teach leadership through serving our community.

Kiwanis was organized in Detroit, Michigan, USA, on January 21, 1915. Kiwanis focuses on the needs of ordinary people and children to create extraordinary life-changing moments. Kiwanis and its Service Leadership Programs boast a membership of more than 600,000 men, women, and youth in nearly 16,000 clubs in more than 70 countries and geographic areas. Kiwanis is taking itself from a good organization to a truly great organization that defines excellence for service and leadership and builds leaders through service opportunities.

Albert C. Olney was the California State Commissioner of all public schools. He established the first Key club at Sacramento High School in California on May 7, 1925. The first Key Club was just for males. Females did not get involved until 1976.

I would like for Key Club to get recognized more at my school because after our class of 09 is gone who is going to be there to carry it on? I know many people don’t know what Key Club is about so I believe it should get recognized more so people would want to know what is about.

KAPLAN KEY CLUB Help out the community Jerry Lewis Telethon – answer the phones at the key club building on main street to raise money from the people from our town. Help the Little Chapel Fire dept. pass out and make their plate lunches. We also go to Acadian Village and help do what ever it is they might need us to do to make the people who go have a wonderful night.

Continue………………. Also any other function are disaster that our community needs help with we are there to help the people out the kindness of our hearts. Key Club instills the values of teamwork, leadership, and volunteering your time. I know speaking from personal experience at the end of the day after helping the community it makes you feel really good inside.
