3. Staying Alive  Some plants have special features that help them get all they need to survive.  Adaptation- a special trait that helps an organism survive  Plants have adaptations for: getting food protection reproduction conserving, or saving, energy

4. Should I Stay or Should I Go?  Are trees dying when they lose their leaves? 5. Deciduous Trees: Just Can’t Decide  Deciduous- a type of tree that loses their leaves to conserve energy during the winter season  The trees stop making chlorophyll and the leaves turn back to their original colors.
