Tropical Forest The tropical rainforest is warm and wet. The temperature is between 70-85 degrees. It rains between 50 and 260 inches per year. The common plant are: tall tree epiphytes an d vines. There are many different animals.

Temperate deciduous forest The temperature deciduous forest is four distinct seasons. The temperature is between 30-60 inches per years. The common plant are: Trees including hardwoods, ask, oak, maple beech, hickory, elm, linden and sweet gum.

Taiga The taiga is long, cold winters and short, warm summers. The temperature is between - 90 to 70 degrees. It rains between 12-33 inches per year. The common plant are: conifers, including spruce, fir pine and larch. There are: many different animals.

Tundra Tundra is belt around the north pole with permafrost permanently frozen ground. The temperature is between 18f degrees. It rain between less than five inches/yr. The common word tundra derives from the Finnish word for barren or treeless land lichens, mosses, and sedges. Few permanent residents, polar bears, caribou, and musk ox.

Temperate rain forest The temperature rain forest is cool and moist. The temperature is between 40 to 80 degrees. It rains 100 inches/yr. The common plant are: fir, spruce, hemlock, cedar, and lichens. In common animals are: Beaver, raccoon, black bear, and elk.

Temperature Grassland Temperature Grassland is called prairies, plains, pampas, steppes, or veld. The temperature is between 40 to70 degrees. It rains between 10-30 inches/yr per year. The common plant are: perennial grasses and perennial forbs. There are many different animals.

Tropical Grassland Tropical Grassland is called savannah: hot all year with a wet season and a dry season. The temperature is 68 to 86 F. It rains between 10-30 inches/yr. The common plant are: grasses, fire resistant, or browse- resistant trees. The common animals are: wildebeest, zebra, rhino, giraffe, hyena, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, and wild dog.

DESERT The desert is hot during the day, cold at night. The temperature is between 40 to 100 f highly variable per year. It rains less than 10 inches. The common plant are: Dominant vegetation, cacti, aloe, and yucca. The common animals are: fox, rat, mouse, bat, vulture, dingo, cactus wren.

CHAPARRAL The chaparral is called Mediterranean climate. The temperature is 37 to 91 f. It rain between 15- 40 inches per year. The common is dominant vegetation, cacti, aloe, and yucca. The common animals are: jackrabbit, aardwolf, fox mountain lion, wild goat.
