Naval Ammunition Logistics Center Maintenance due and expiration date tracking The maintenance due date (MDD) and expiration date is reported when the MDD changes due to a maintenance action or material is transferred between reporters. The type maintenance due (TMD) will be reported for AURs/components requiring different levels of maintenance on a cyclical basis

Naval Ammunition Logistics Center Container Tracking CAIMS SLIT applications have the ability to track containers for selected ordnance items when the container is associated with AURs that are reported by serial number The containers will be identified on a SLIT transaction by an alpha or numeric code

Naval Ammunition Logistics Center Periodic Lot Reporting MCC of “K”, indicates the activities must report all lot numbers and defect codes on a monthly basis to CAIMS Defect codes- further define and describe the material condition codes and are assigned when the condition changes. Consists of six alpha/numerics divided into four parts

Naval Ammunition Logistics Center Transaction item reporting activities submit BG1 and BG2 transactions with their TIRs but it is a separate transaction. Ammunition Transaction Reporting, (ships, NAS, MCAS) report the actual lot/serial as part of the transaction line. Serial/lot info is then recorded in CAIMS.
