During this presentation numerous products and services will be referenced. Paula Keezer has no financial or non-financial relationships with the companies providing these products and services.

I'm NX1P! A ham for 49 years. A station on the South Coast of Oregon. Morse Code! DX chaser and DXpedtioner Work in Big Data IT
4
It's about the QSO's ● Fill out paper log entry for each QSO. ● Or, use a stand alone logging computer. ● Post expedition. – Consolidate multi-station logs. – Dedupe. – Fill out QSL's and send. – Answer snail mail requests about QSO's not in your log.
5
If its not in the log than it doesn't count. ● Logging is a system of computers (N1MM) ● Logs are duplicated across all computers. ● Unofficial logs are regularly updated to Clublog (or other). ● Post expedition. – Final log is uploaded to Clublog (or other). – OQSL is enabled. – Log is uploaded to LOTW. – Automatically generate requested paper QSL's. – Answer email requests about QSOs not in your log.
7
● Key Component!! ● Your very own subnet ● Pre-configurable ● But which one? – Detachable antenna – Gargoyle compatible – Wired capable
8
● Open source WIFI router software ● Runs on most routers ● Provides high end router capabilities that we need! – Repeater – Subnet separation. – Single outside node. – Easy to setup and configure – Firewall capable
10
● Standard upload – Export ADIF log from master N1MM – Log into Clublog – Clear log and Upload new ADIF log ● Incremental upload – Export ADIF log from master N1MM – Split at last QSO uploaded – Log into Clublog – Upload/append split ADIF log Takes time from operating, Uses data expensive web pages. Low DXpedition priority = more DQRM
11
● Install pre-configured ClubPi appliance – Plug power into ClubPi. – Use ClubPi Web interface to configure for your network and your ClubLog credentials. – Configure N1MM master to broadcast QSOs to ClubPi. – Verify Clublog by logging a test QSO in N1MM. – Select either scheduled batch uploads or real-time. Once set up, it's automatic = less DQRM. Low data overhead. Real-time and batch configurable.
14
● A single QSO is about 100 bytes ● Internet overhead for 1 transaction is about 8KB (using ClubPi)
16
Take-aways: Use a Gargole Wifi router! Help Reduce DQRM! upload to ClubLog Use ClubPi to automate your uploads www.nx1p.com
