7. 7 EICs and IRCs today IRC Network financed under FP6 currently 71 IRC consortia and 223 organisations in 33 countries (EU25, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, EFTA, Israel, Chile) hosted mainly by Technology Institutes, Research Centres, Chambers of Commerce, or Development Agencies some common host structures with EICs main funding by the hosts, co-funding by the Commission Political direction from Commission Network animated through Secretariat EIC network financed under MAP currently 267 EICs, 13 EICCs in third countries, and 25 associate members in altogether 42 countries (EU25, Accession and Candidate Countries, Mediterranean Countries, Ukraine, USA, Chile) hosted mainly by Chambers of Commerce, Craft Chambers, Financial Institutions some common host structures with IRCs main funding by the hosts, co-funding by the Commission Political direction from the Commission Network animated through Central Support Structure
