4 Vocabulary Isthmus-narrow strip of land connecting 2 larger strips of land Tributary- a river or stream that flows into a main river, like those found around the Amazon River Coral – skeletons of tiny sea animals, some examples are islands found in the Caribbean Elevation-the height of land above sea level Plateau- a large mainly flat, raised land, like that found in Mexico known as the Central Plateau-home to A LOT of people because of the good farmland.
