The Major Service Change policy governs when The T is required to conduct equity analysis of effects of potential service changes and hold a public hearing A Major Service Change is defined as: The establishment of a new transit route An increase or decrease of 25% or more of the number of transit route miles of a transit route for any given day.

If the minority populations will experience 20% more of the cumulative impact due to service change. Or if low-income populations will experience 20% more of the cumulative burden, relative to the non- minority or non-low- income populations. Analysis ◦ No disparate impacts to minority population ◦ No disproportionate burden to low- income populations

Current Service Weekdays ◦ Every 30 minutes ◦ Last bus 7:43pm Saturdays ◦ Every 90 minutes ◦ Last bus 6:43pm Sundays ◦ No service

Proposed Service Saturdays: ◦ (Increase from 1 ½ to 1 hour frequency) ◦ Turn around at 820 to help with On- time performance ◦ Stops north of Loop 820 not served on Saturday No change to Weekday service

Current Service: Weekdays ◦ Hourly ◦ Last inbound 9:02pm Saturdays ◦ Hourly till 9:02pm Sundays ◦ Hourly till 7:48pm

Proposed Service Weekday and Saturday EVENINGS ◦ Schedule allows extension to Walmart AFTER 7pm Saturday evening last 1d departs ITC at 9:45pm instead of 9:30pm Sundays ◦ Extension to Walmart all day with the addition of one bus Helps with on-time performance issues

A nine (9) day comment period is now open for written or oral comments and can be submitted to the T. Comments are due by June 13 th, 2014 Comments will be recorded and not responded to at the Public Hearing All comments received, whether written or provided orally today will be submitted to the T Board of Directors. Decision will be made at the Board of Directors Meeting on June 23 rd.
