3 We are proud to announce the Excellence Academic Project Award or Anugerah Projek Akademik Cemerlang (APAC). The objectives of the award are to: steer the competition sprits amongst students to produce good/quality systems acknowledge the effort of our students in designing and developing good systems identify and restore good projects for other students references and exhibitions

4 This award will be given to the best project of each department/major. The candidates for the award will be selected from the Academic Project II viva. The selection will be based on the marks of the viva. The selection for the award will be based on some additional criteria such as commercial values, marketability and originality. Prizes: RM500 + certificate.

8 W HY THE NEED TO WRITE RESEARCH R EPORTS /P APERS /T HESIS ? It is obvious that every research needs good and proper documentation. To share research results with other researchers. Reports are usually written at the end of a research work.

9 T HE BODY OF THE REPORT Your report must contains, Abstract Introduction Literature Review Methodology /System Design Implementation/ System Development Evaluation & Analysis of Result Conclusion References Appendix

10 T HE ‘ INTRODUCTION ’ The first chapter of your report is normally given the title Introduction. The introduction chapter should be written to engage the interest of the reader. It is the place where you should, discuss the background of the study state and define the problem that you are trying to address or solve state the aims and objectives of the project state the scope of the project

11 B ACKGROUND OF THE STUDY An introductory section to discuss the general field of the subject area from which your research is to be drawn. You should give some explanation as to why it is important to do this project title and why it is of interest to you.

12 P ROBLEM STATEMENT This section is the most important as in any research the establishment of one of the above represents the whole basis for completing the project. Describe the problem/difficulty/situation that interests you.

13 A IMS AND OBJECTIVES In this section, you should explain what you are intending to achieve by doing this research. The intentions should be derived from the existing body of knowledge. The overall aim would be to satisfy the requirements of the objectives.

14 S COPE OF THE PROJECT To discuss the particular domain on which you will focus.

15 D ISCUSSION Can you identify the : background of the study problem aim or objectives scope that can be found in this paper: Automatic Summary Assessment for Intelligent Tutoring Systems.
