3. What is it? It is a partial break in a bone. It is much like taking a green twig from a tree and trying to break it.

4. How do they occur? Falls as a youngster. They are usually the result of a sports injury.

5. What is the treatment? The injured person is normally put into a cast for two to four weeks.
