1st of October 1960. – the Faculty of Engineering formally started working and the Department of Electronic was part of it (129 regular and 134 part-time students) 15th of June 1965. – the University of Niš was founded 23rd of November 1968. – by decision of the Parlament of the People’s Republic of Serbia the Faculty of Electronic Engineering Niš started its independent existence (269 regular and 27 part-time students) 1971 – Electronic Computer Center, based on IBM 1130 computer, began to work 24th June 1982 – the Faculty of Electronic Engineering was moved into a new, modern building (over 25000sqm, with 4 lecture halls, 40 classrooms, 20 laboratories, library, restaurant, sport and recreation facilities, etc.), where the Faculty is still situated. “Brief History”
