1 Module 2; Bell Ringer #1- Driver Preparation You and your buddies are getting ready to take a road trip to the beach to visit some friends. You have decided to drive your car. Before leaving for your adventure, write a short story of how you will make sure your car is up for the long drive.  Make sure you include at least 5 different steps you will take to insure your car’s safety.  Which beach? How far away? Who is going? What are you going to do when you get there?  Write at least 2-3 paragraphs with correct punctuation and grammar.

2  Roads are safer.  Cars are safer.  Are drivers safer?  Express your opinion by supporting your view point with examples in 2-3 paragraphs 1.Draw these 4 pedals on your Bell Ringer 2.Label each pedal 3.Indicate which foot controls each pedal

3 S2; BR#3 – Seat Belts!  Paragraph #1 : Describe in detail 3 things you would NOT want to be seat belted to…  What are those 3 things/areas?  Why don’t you want to be strapped to them?!  Paragraph #2 : What are 3 things you would want a seat belt for?  What are those 3 things/areas?  Why do you want/need a seat belt? What would happen without it? Read “Safety Belts” in the Textbook p. 175-176

6  What would happen if there were no cars, buses, trains, boats, or planes? How would this change your life?  2-3 paragraphs:  Compare how life is with convenient transportation with how life would be without it.  What would you miss the most?  How would you get around?  What was it like in the past…
