Plastic Welding and Fabrication About Us Plastic Welding and Fabrication, Ltd (PWF) started in 2003. Like most other small businesses PWF started working out of a garage. We have since moved twice and currently has two buildings in Buda, TX. PWF started out as a plastic repair company and also fabricated tanks and other plastic items as large as we could with the size of our building at the time. In 2006 we became the sole licensee to manufacture, distribute and service the Thermaflow Heating System. These heaters sit in process tanks and heat process solutions for the Galvanizing Industry. In 2008 we constructed our biggest plastic tank yet of 7 ft. x 65 ft. x 7 ft. with the steel support cage to support it. We are the only large plastic tank fabricator in TEXAS! At PWF we pride ourselves on providing service to our customers and our ability to help provide solutions to their process and heating needs. PWF’s technical experience has allowed us to fabricate some of the country’s largest plastic tanks and secondary containments pits. Shaun P. Plastic Welding and Fabrication Plastic materials we weld include: Copolymer Polypropylene (CPP) Homo Polymer Polypropylene (HPP) Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) Chlorinated Poly Vinyl Chloride (CPVC) Poly Vinyldene Fluoride (PVDF) Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE) Pipe Grade Polyethylene (PGPE) High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW) Plastic Welds are performed by using hot air for fitting or small projects and state of the art computer controlled extrusion equipment for large welds. There are no sparks or arc. All of our welds are in accordance to the International Plastic Bonding and Welding Guidelines of the DVS which has been adapted by the AWS. Our preferred material for most fabrication projects is CPP. CPP is 10 times more impact resistant than HPP, handles temperatures to 243 F and is inert to most chemicals. We are confident that our years of problem solving, design, fabrication and service will allow cost effective, maintenance fee solutions for your company’s process and tank heating requirements.
