Objectives The student will recall the names of the four Indian tribes of Alabama. The student will be able to locate each tribes location in Alabama on an Alabama State Map.

Chickasaw Lived in Northwest Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Warriors

Choctaw Lived in Southwest Alabama A strange custom of flattening babies heads in order to make them more handsome.

Creek Also called Muscogee Lived in Central, eastern and Southeast Alabama Nation-formed from several small tribes.

Indian Lifestyle Houses- made of wood, vines, and mud. Clothing- made of animal skins (deer). Food- the men hunted and fished for meats and the women farmed. The children gathered nuts and berries.
