Why do we have Sexual Health Service in the Community? Sex is the topic that dare not speak it’s name Culturally we are conditioned to hide sex Societies Barriers include: – Poverty – Class – Location – Ethnicity – Education

Community Sexual Health Models Peer-led Rapid HIV testing bus – based in General Gordon Square Woolwich targeting African communities Testing in the Home Nurse-led Rapid HIV only Clinic – Held in Peckham Pulse a busy sports centre, gym and pool in Peckham HIV, Sexual Health and Contraception – GSH Clinics Outreach arm of the Chlamydia Screening Programme – Targeting 15-24yr olds HIV embedded in Holistic clinic - Diabetes, Cholesterol, Hypertension, BMI, CT & GC Overall Acceptance levels: Community Survey – When asked if they were more likely to attend a clinic in a community place for the above test than attend: GPHospitalGUM Yes69%76%79% No9%3%14% Maybe21%7%22%
