Conserving Energy Stop unnecessary… Tension (shoulders, neck, face, hands). Repetitive movements (fidgeting). Talking (slow down inner & outer talk). Thinking about past or future (worrying, reminiscing).

Focusing Extra Energy Move excess mental energy into a physical activity. Focus on a central point in the body. Visualize a calming image. Use prolonged physical activity (biking, walking) to mentally reflect, brainstorm, or problem solve.
