1 Quote + SP Energy Networks are keen to improve the service we provide to our Customers. Quote + has been developed to provide our Customers with a higher level of information than is currently provided in our Budget Quotation, in a shorter timescale than our Formal Quotation Offer. Highlights of the Quote + – Customer can request an indicative study for 3 different capacity options at a particular location – SP Energy Networks will provide a cost estimate for each of the 3 different capacity options requested within 20 days – If the Customer decides to progress with a formal application for one of the 3 options, then for interactive purposes, Day 1 of the indicative study would be taken as the Competent Enquiry Date of the Formal Application. Following this the Customer would receive the formal quotation offer within the standard published timescales. 1

2 2 Initial Application Customer specifies the detail of the connection required DNO establishes whether Customer wishes to proceed with Quote+ Product Indicative Assessment Customer and DNO agree three suitable options to be assessed in the Indicative Study DNO provides the Customer with the agreed outputs on fixed locations (20 days) Customer Review and Decision Customer indicates their Preferred Option (5 days) DNO progress the Formal Application for the Preferred Option identified by the Customer Formal Quotation Date considered for interactivity will be the date of the initial request for Indicative Study Formal Offer provided to Customer Quote + Process

3 3 Quote + Customer Timescales Example Customer 1 Indicative Study Customer 2 Formal Quotation Usual Interactivity Rules apply as soon as Indicative Study is Accepted and Customer 1 Formal Application processed Customer 1 first in queue so ensures Issue of Quote to Customer 1 in advance of Customer 2 queue Day 1 Day 20 Day 25 Customer 1 Formal Quotation from Indicative Study Day 1 of Indicative Study taken as Competent Enquiry Date for Formal Application if Feasibility Study is Accepted Day 65 Customer 3 Formal Quotation Competent Enquiry on Day 32 – Usual Interactivity Measures apply If Customer doesn’t indicate preferred option in 5 days then the Initial Enquiry Date is lost
