Why Bother? Slogans can: leave the key brand message in the mind of the target Benefits: The same memorable message can be used for many purposes. A brief, catchy slogan can be placed in ads, business cards, corporate stationery, providing a constant reminder of what makes the company special.

Slogan Examples… Can you guess them? “Have it your way” Burger King "Because you're worth it” L’Oreal "Think outside the bun" Taco Bell “Can you hear me now?” Verizon “In a world that doesn't…” Droid does What do these slogans have in common?

Suggestions for effective slogans: States the main benefits Statement is simple, direct, concise May be witty, if it is required as not all advertising slogans are meant to be witty Adopts a distinct "personality" of its own Gives a credible impression of brand or product Makes the consumer feel a desire or need Is memorable!

Difference Between a Slogan and a Logo A slogan is a catch phrase where a logo is an image Both can be associated with brand or identity.

Logos Used for immediate recognition of a product When designing a logo remember: -To avoid going overboard in attempting to be unique -Use few colors -Be aware of design or trademark infringements -Not use the face of a living person -To not use clip-art as a feature of the logo

Your Task… We are in competition with Commack High School. The marketing classes have been given the task to increase attendance at the school’s baseball games. To start spreading the word, develop a slogan that may be posted around school in support of the varsity baseball team. If needed, the home games against Commack are April 21 and April 24.
