Problems in planning, structuring, editing and proof-reading written text. Slow and illegible handwriting. Mathematics (e.g. language, perception, sequencing, organisation and calculation rate.)

Problems for Nurses Hand over – taking down facts quickly. Writing reports – often not sure what is required. Spelling and grammar in reports. Lack of confidence – often compounded by impatient ward staff who are either unaware or lack understanding of dyslexia. Lack of consistency in instructions.
