2 Corporate Social Responsibility Kempinski is an international company, that is in the people business, and yet has local economic & social impact through the guests we attract to our hotels our role as an employer our training and educational efforts for staff our operations the use of local products Business has an impact on local society, while social conditions have an impact on business  interdependence Each company definitively is affected by infectious diseases; this means that people’s health is a shared value between the local community and corporations Kempinski is in the service industry which is a « people business » where health, both for customers and employees, is essential.

4 Stop TB Campaign – The Ambassador Kempinski has become an official partner of the Stop TB partnership and we will support the Stop TB Campaign on a global level – our role is to act as a facilitator between donating guests and the Stop TB Partnership 2008 - 20092010 - 2011

6 How we do it … The campaign postcard is put in rooms during the turndown service a postcard is placed on the guest’s pillow

7 How much material has been distributed to hotel staff, guests, and others? 577'300 postcards distributed during the campaign How many employees have been trained? 19’000 How many members of local communities have been affected? 13,044 guest rooms, meaning 3.3 Mio guests … these are the figures

9 We want health to be contagious BE is an independent, self-funding and non-profit association whose mission is to protect employees, their households and local communities from infectious diseases by facilitating health care support & services.

Creates a network of peer educators by training and mobilising employees to spread health and well-being in their local community and at their workplace Facilitates detection and treatment of infectious diseases amongst employees, their household and local community Facilitates and manages projects which support prevention, detection and treatment of infectious diseases

11 BE is for mid-sized companies BE aspires to mobilise the corporate sector & to assist mid- sized companies in implementing prevention activities at their workplace  mid-sized companies become member of BE BE has an entrepreneurial approach, and the workplace is meant to be a springboard to reach the local community.
