Healing Culture Defined  A culture that recognizes the multi-faceted nature of patient well-being (including physical, emotional, spiritual, social, environmental and community levels), and whose staff work in partnership with patients and their families for healing.  Healing is defined as more than recovery from illness or injury; it is allowing a patient to reach his or her optimal health, with a focus on prevention and health promotion. 14
