11.  Students are responsible for recording the 2 to 3 assignments per day in their planners.  Homework with errors will be stamped and placed in the corrections folder. This folder will go home on Friday to be completed and signed over the weekend.  If homework is not handed-in on time and/or completed, an IOU is submitted and parents are notified by a stamp in the planner.  Parents will be contacted if a persistent problem of not turning in homework and/or corrections on time continues.

17. How can I help my child? Discuss their reading with them as much as possible. Help them learn the basic math facts of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division by memory. Encourage independence at home regarding homework. Provide a quiet place for them to do their homework immediately after school. Support a sense of responsibility for their school work, supplies, and behavior.
