3 Course Description English 11 offers an integrated program of writing and literature, focusing on the study of American Literature and persuasive/argumentative writing. No late homework accepted Grades are semester cumulative and figured by percentages Semester = 80% Final exam=20% Essays/projects 30% In-class/participation 25% Homework 15% Tests 15% Quizzes 15% These percentages are subject to change

10 Assessment Standards Essays will be assessed using the AIMS 6 + 1 rubric Essays will be assessed using different sections of the rubric Major projects will be evaluated using a teacher-created, content specific rubric
