2 Project Overview Last week, we completed our data analysis and final decisions on the Farmer’s Market. Thank you to all families for making our project successful and enjoyable for the students! This week, our new project will be launched, which will focus on citizenship and community leaders. Stay tuned for details!

4 Writing “Mapping relative and absolute locations” Noise Level 1 1.Now that we have learned about locations, create a grid map for our classroom or for your bedroom. 2.On your map, you must include: 1.Letters to label your grid 2.Numbers to label your grid 3.Key with symbols 4.Cardinal directions 5.Five or more items Standards: 2.3.4 On a map, identify physical features of the local community. 2.3.1Use a compass rose to identify cardinal* and intermediate directions* and to locate places on maps and places in the classroom, school and community. 5 Self-Selected Reading / Accelerated Reader Noise Level 0 1.Choose a library book or a book of choice that you have not read. 2.Be sure you picked a book that you can read alone. 3.Silently read. 4.After you finish your book, write the name of the book and information on the SSR/AR form to turn in for a grade. 5.When you finish the sheet, turn it in to the Turn in File. 6 Working with Words Noise Level 1 Monday: Start the spelling packet. Tuesday: Finish the spelling packet and turn in to the turn in file. Wednesday- Choose an activity using your words: 1. Crayon Mats 2. Flip Book 3. Story Thursday: Spelling City- go to the website to practice your words for the test on Friday. You may only go to the challenge list if you have mastered the regular list. Standards RF2.2 Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds.
