16
Tuning Etiquette Once the bell rings, the teacher or student leader will turn the machine on to sound the “A”. Beginners: Violin/violas will form a line and the teacher will tune. Concert/Philharmonic: Student will individually tune each string one by one.
17
Rehearsal Etiquette Listen silently during instruction time. Take responsibility for yourself and your actions. Play only on your instrument during the appropriate time. Stop immediately when the conductor stops rehearsing. Follow instructions and show courteous rehearsal etiquette. Raise your hand and receive permission before speaking or leaving your seat. Follow the HBMS behavioral expectations and LTISD Student Code of Conduct Handbook. DO NOT start to pack up before the class is dismissed. It is rude and distracting. Wait for your director to dismiss you by sections/rows.
