DEHYDRATION Occurs from failure to replace body’s lost fluids Leads to decrease in mental sharpness, muscle power and endurance

PREVENT DEHYDRATION Replace lost fluids, specifically electrolytes Drink more water when exercising, or when the weather is hot

HEAT STROKE Dehydration Heat and Humidity Fitness Overexertion

PREVENT HEAT STROKE Stay hydrated Refrain from extensive work Respect your body First, cool down Second, seek medical attention

SKIN CANCER Basal Cell Carcinoma Squamous Cell Carcinoma Melanoma

PREVENTION Use a sunscreen SPF 15 or higher Protect exposed body parts with clothing Avoid tanning beds Avoid sun lamps Seek shaded areas
