History Has been worked on since 2001. Prototype was made in 2003 In 2007 it was finally revealed by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer AT&T became the first retail location to have Microsoft Surface in stock in 2008

How it works Cameras are used to sense objects, hand gestures and touch. When figure tips begin to touch on the screen, tags are placed on what objects they are touching. Different objects have different tags. The tags are then processed by the “image processing system” and then the applications program, in order to indentify what function is being done by what program
