3 In 1962 the first “Internet” is conceived. Under the leadership of the Department of Defense’s Advanced Research Project Agency, a small network is created called ARPANET ARPANET was originally created for the Department of Defense and the military to allow control over its missiles and bombers from various locations after a nuclear attack.
