Street Name-ludes, drunk pills, v’s blues Brand Name- Valium or Diastat Chemical Name- The chemical name of diazepam is 7-chloro-1,3-dihydro-1- methyl-5-phenyl-2H-1,4- benzodiazepin-2-one.

Diazepam (valium) is a benzodiazepine anxiolytic used in the treatment of anxiety disorders, seizures, muscle spasms, and alcohol withdrawal. It is one of the best known benzodiazepines.

Valium debuted in 1963 in the U.S. drug prescription market It was developed in New Jersey by Dr. Leo Sternbach These drugs were targeted for middle class citizens The ratio of the people who used it favored two and a half to one in favor of the women

-Valium is very addicting and does not take many doses to get addicted - It leaves many people dependent on it especially when they need to do something to relax themselve - hyperexcited states, anxiety, agitation, aggressiveness, irritability, rage, hallucinations, psychoses, delusions, increased muscle spasticity, insomnia, sleep disturbances, and nightmares.
