6-30 Description of model components Base demand is long-term average demand after other components are removed Seasonal component is annual recurring upward or downward movement in demand –E.g. Toy demand before Christmas Trend component is long- range shift in periodic sales –Positive, negative or neutral Cyclic component is periodic shifts in demand lasting more than a year –E.g.
