2. 2 FCMAT Response & Preparation To best prepare for next years FCMAT audit, we have developed a process to: –Proactively map our activities to FCMAT standards –Monitor progress against standards –Communicate our activities and progress A new monitoring tool will: –Show FCMAT standards and state controller audit findings –Prioritize how standards will be addressed –Demonstrate alignment of Expect Success! and other initiatives with those standards Process overview

3. 3 FCMAT Calendar 2006-07 Response development (Oct.-Nov.) State Administrator one-on- one check-in meetings with Leads every 2 months –Review status report –Address gaps/concerns Ongoing monitoring (Dec.-June) Final preparation (May-Aug., in accordance with FCMAT schedule) State Administrator/ Area Lead meetings Board Updates Area Team meetings (Area Leads and key team members) Report reviewed in detail Oct. 23 Leads Meeting –Discussion of report and key priorities –Review process & calendar as a group Report reviewed in detail Area Team kickoff meetings –Review all standards –Match initiatives to standards –Address gaps –Plan monitoring and data collection process & assign roles Ongoing progress and data collection Area meetings every 2 months (week prior to State Administrator updates) –Status check on all initiatives –Identify any new initiatives –Identify any gaps/concerns Quarterly Board updates on progress –March, June State Administrator to review final documents and self-ratings prior to audits Schedule and conduct FCMAT audits Final data collection Self-rating process Oct. 25: Process & calendar Nov. 29: Report from 1-2 areas Dec./Jan.: Remaining areas
