Share how your G1 Team is taking on the likeness of a church; worship, practices the ordinances, understands stewardship, prays for each other, etc. Who looks like they may become leaders in your G1 Team? Ask Each;

4. Vision Casting Where there is no vision, the people perish. Proverbs 29:18 Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.

Proverbs 16:3

Faith is to believe what we do not see: the reverse of this faith is to see what we believe

These people are perishing for lack of our Vision!

Prayer What is it and How to Do it 5. Brief Discipleship Lesson

What is Prayer? Communicating (talking) with Your Higher Power - God

Who Can Pray and Expect to be Heard? Christians, Believers in Jesus Christ, will be heard. Non-Believers in Jesus will only be heard with a Prayer of Confession and Repentance (request to become a Christian) An example will Follow We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, God listens to him. John 9:31

What is the correct Posture for prayer? There is no correct or certain posture for prayer. In the Bible people prayed on their knees (1 Kings 8:54), bowing (Exodus 4:31), on their faces before God (2 Chronicles 20:18; Matthew 26:39), and standing (1 Kings 8:22). You may pray with your eyes opened or closed, quietly or out loud— however you are most comfortable and least distracted.1 Kings 8:54Exodus 4:312 Chronicles 20:18Matthew 26:391 Kings 8:22 There is no correct or certain posture for prayer. In the Bible people prayed on their knees (1 Kings 8:54), bowing (Exodus 4:31), on their faces before God (2 Chronicles 20:18; Matthew 26:39), and standing (1 Kings 8:22). You may pray with your eyes opened or closed, quietly or out loud— however you are most comfortable and least distracted.1 Kings 8:54Exodus 4:312 Chronicles 20:18Matthew 26:391 Kings 8:22

What is the Best Environment for Effective Prayer? Personal Prayer should be in a quiet place with no distractions Community Prayer should be Reverent, Serious, Humble,

If we never speak to our spouse or friend and never listen to anything they might have to say to us, our fellowship ship will quickly deteriorate. It is the same way with God. Prayer— communicating with God—helps us grow closer and more intimately connected with God. Why Should You Pray? Prayer Develops Our Relationship and Maintains our Fellowship with Your Higher Power - God.

When to Pray Anytime You are Reminded to Pray. Start your day with Prayer. When New Circumstances Require His help.

The Holy Spirit will help you in prayer when you don't know how to pray. What If You Do Not Know How to Pray? In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. Romans 8:26-27

Types of Prayer 1. Confession and Repentance 5. Intercession 4. Petition, Requests 2. Praise and Adoration 3. Thanksgiving and Gratitude Personal For Others Any Mix or All of the Above

What Do We Do When We Sin After becoming a Christian?

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 (which restores our Fellowship) GOD When We Become a Christian, We are RELATED to GOD as His child and We enjoy Fellowship with Him just like ideal Parents and their Children relate and fellowship with each other If we sin we break our Fellowship but not our Relationship RELATIONSHIP FELLOWSHIP

6. Practice Re-arrange the team into smaller groups of 2 to 3 members Have them discuss how prayer helps them. Have the team members share their witnessing experiences this past week. Why should we pray? Discuss why we should have a vision for the salvation of the lost world Each should continue to Add names to their list and Review their Story Briefly pray for each other, the ones on your list and for all T4T team members

7. Goal Setting for Session 5 In next week’s G1 T4T team meeting, teach the team about Stewardship (Resource management) Begin taking an offering unto the Lord as part of the Practice time. Plan to purchase Study Bibles for each team member the next week. Agree to the location for regular weekly G1 T4T team meetings. Pray for the T4T teams Vision this week Continue to Identify Leaders Circle more names on your list and tell them your story this next week.
