PLURAL NOUNS Most plural nouns are formed by adding s or es ADD –es to singular nouns ending in s, ss, x, ch, or sh Add –ies to singular nouns ending with a consonant + y (drop the y, add ies) Add s for nouns ending with a vowel + y Irregular nouns don’t follow these rules (ex: feet, children, people, maze, etc.)
