Finding Fire Hazards Don’t put anything that can catch fire over an appliance, such as putting a towel over a toaster. Never use matches or a lighter unless an adult has said it is ok and they are with you.

Finding Fire Hazards Don’t play with electrical cords and never try to put anything into an electrical socket! Don’t cook alone. Always make sure that an adult is with you!

Staying Safe Make sure your home has a working smoke alarm in every room. There should be at least one fire extinguisher in a place that you can easily get to it. Plan an escape route with your family so you all no where to find each other in case a fire ever occurs.
