Theme Assessment, feedback and 2012 We have been a more autonomous faculty for just over 3 years In that time, driven by external and internal factors, we have made a conscious effort to improve the quality and timeliness of assessment and feedback This has gone hand in hand with a desire to improve the student learning experience through more and better formative assessment

Ways of providing feedback There are numerous ways of providing feedback to students I’m going to ask a few questions and then we’ll have a discussion

Discussion points (20 minutes) Is feedback important? Is it needed on all modules? Do students need to be taught how to use feedback? Do we want a unified “faculty” approach? How do we reach out to the “average” lecturer; should we?
