Unit 6 – Designing Multimedia The design part must be done before any implementation. Mark band 3 The candidate has produced designs for multimedia products that are appropriate for the intended audience and sufficiently detailed to allow the designs to be implemented, and has presented Structure of this section could be as follows. 1)Stimulus material. Details of a range of potential assets, both ready made and original, and has clearly related the assets to the required products. So – Show stimulus material that gives you ideas and you would like to perhaps reproduce and show some material that might be potential assets for your creations.

Unit 6 – Designing Multimedia Structure of this section could be as follows. 2) Design log for each product – INITIAL IDEAS For each product show your initial design ideas, annotated in detail – especially highlighting your design decisions and areas for further development and progression. Tell the story of your design development. REMEMBER THESE ARE DESIGNS NOT ACTUAL PRODUCTS Make sure on each design you have 1)Annotations of design decisions 2)Extensive Feedback 3)Where the design needs to be improved – i.e. what needs to further developed You can have multiple initial ideas for each item showing the progression. Mark band 3 Clear evidence of their initial design ideas, illustrated the progression of their ideas, explained design decisions and identified components required for further development.

Unit 6 – Designing Multimedia Structure of this section could be as follows. 3) Design log for each product. – FINAL DESIGN Show your actual FINAL designs after extensive feedback. Highlight the changes you have made from your initial designs. Show the progression. Explain design decisions along the way What tools and techniques you are going to employ to create it.. Annotate Annotate Annotate. FINAL FEEDBACK for your design. Mark Band 3 Clear evidence of their design ideas for identified components, illustrated the progression of their ideas, explained design decisions and identified tools and techniques required for further development.
