Established, 1995 Legal Standing and Purpose The International 450 Association (IA 450) is a non-profit international organization under Swedish law (www.ia450.org) The Purposes of the IA 450 are as follows: to promote the global use of the 450 MHz and the surrounding bands for CDMA2000 ; to broaden the market for CDMA2000 systems in 450 MHz allowing members to benefit from economies of scale; to promote identification in the ITU Radio Regulations of the 450 MHz and the surrounding bands for IMT-2000 on a global basis;

Established, 1995 IA 450 Activities In order to achieve its purposes, the IA 450 commits to these activities: Establish strategic relationships with national telecom administrations and regulatory bodies, international standards and industry organizations to promote global use of 450 MHz by CDMA2000 systems; Participate in the ITU, European Commission, CEPT and other relevant international and regional regulatory and SDOs ensuring 450 MHz band is always considered.

5. June, 2005 IFAST, Ltd. Established, 1995 IA 450 Activities Promote policy to allow national use of the 450 MHz spectrum for CDMA2000; Promote industry and public awareness of advantages, capabilities and developments of CDMA2000 in 450 MHz;

Established, 1995 IA 450 Activities (Interoperability) Facilitate network compatibility and interoperability among CDMA2000 450 MHz operators to ensure roaming; Facilitate network compatibility and interoperability between CDMA2000 systems in the 450 MHz and other wireless technologies in other frequency bands, such as second generation systems and IMT-2000.

Established, 1995 IA 450 Relationships Establish/participate in frameworks for international roaming agreements; Establish working relationships and MoUs with relevant international organizations as appropriate; Serve as a technical and business information resource to facilitate rapid implementation of IMT-2000 in the 450 MHz band world-wide.
