1 Grade 9 Tourism Project Newfoundland Connections

2 A New Project Focus on Newfoundland and Labrador’s rich culture, in tourism and the physical geography Focus on Newfoundland and Labrador’s rich culture, in tourism and the physical geography Students have to research a particular Newfoundland tourist location. Students have to research a particular Newfoundland tourist location.

3 ALL Projects will consist of: 1. A Brochure/Pamphlet; 2. a 3-5 minute in-class presentation; 3. and a visual component, unique to each choice of topic.

4 Project Options 1. Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism: o Students may choose an historic building or site to research or visit or town/community o They must create a visual representation of this site in one of three ways: a) a Website complete with images and information. b) a video advertisement- Commercial c) a Powerpoint presentation of their research in 6-8 slides. d) a travel poster (Bristol board) d) a travel poster (Bristol board)
