More complexity requires more knowledge and skills More knowledge and skills requires more education More education requires more teachers The cost of teachers is rising 18 million new teachers will be required by 2015 to cope with growing demand The shortage has outstripped the ability of education leaders in many areas to recruit, train, and retain quality teachers The lack of skilled or motivated teachers affects all levels of education and geographies So, do we as society need to re-think Teaching?
