Key Terms Brainstorm If you are sitting on the west side (window side) of the room… brainstorm the meaning of POWER If you are sitting on the east side (door side) of the room… brainstorm the meaning of AUTHORITY Groups will have 5 minutes to come up with as many ideas as possible. Key Terms Power = the ability to control or direct something, or someone Sometimes people have the right to use power, sometimes they do not. Authority = power combined with the right to use that power The right to use power usually comes from laws, customs, or principles of morality
